Product Designer | Interactive Media Artist
Yechen Zhu is a visionary product designer and interactive media artist based in New York. He combines algorithms, code, and gravity to craft designs that challenge conventional boundaries. Originally from China, Yechen earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Media Art from Shanghai University and a Master of Industrial Design from the Rhode Island School of Design.
His innovative design approach is celebrated for crafting cutting-edge solutions that advance sustainable development and multi-sensory experiences. His award-winning innovations, which explore the intersections of technology and human perception, as well as sustainability, have been recognized by the Industrial Designers Society of America, Terra Carta Design Lab, and Core77. Yechen’s work in pushing the boundaries of lighting design, spatial olfaction computing, and biomaterial research has garnered acclaim in both the design and tech communities.
